Welcome to Abbeygate Masonry
We pride ourselves on using traditional methods to produce a complete range of stone products, using hand tools to shape and form the stonework required.
We are based in the middle of East Anglia which is renowned for it's churches and historic buildings and we offer a complete service for the sympathetic renovation, restoration, conservation or new supply of all aspects of stonework including the design, manufacture and installation. Using natural stones usually stocked at our yard in blocks up to 4 tonnes, Stoke Ground Base and Top-bed Bathstone, Portland Base and Whitbed, Yorkstone, Barrington Clunch, Clipsham and Caen from France, we are able to provide stonework for most projects to suit client's needs and schedules. Other stone types are also available to order.
We have an Alpe Monoblade Framesaw, an ASM secondary saw with 620mm cutting capacity and a Van Voorden 320mm cut with profiling feature which enables us to produce straight runs of cornice and string courses. All aspects of masonry are catered for by our highly skilled and experienced staff. Including the design, manufacture and installation of virtually anything in natural stone; bespoke fireplaces, memorials, letter cutting, British limestone flooring, yorkstone paving, carving, saw-work, stone window sills, coping stones, pier caps, stone lintols, stone cladding, conservation, renovation and restoration of churches, domestic and historic buildings.
